Gargoyles OC: Odette Titania Xanatos

Call me wierd, I'm probably the only one to ever make a human/fae blooded for gargoyles as an OC.

Well, doesn't matter! This is my baby, Odette. She's a little character that I thought up in passing, going, "if i were to design a character for Gargoyles, I'd wanna be Xanato's daughter...." and 3 headaches, 6 motrin, 28 gargoyles episodes, and a character sheet for World of Darkness later, Odette had finally come to be...(yeah she was one of those characters that you try to push back, but the keep forcing until they come to be.)

Now, for her general story.... well, detailed story.... most of this is assuming with dates i've been told by my friends and worked off of them. (mostly assuming that Alex was born in 1996)

The name Odette means, btw, wealthy or little wealthy one. Yes, it's also the name of the princess in Swan Princess which is based off of the ballet Swan Lake.

On October 18th, 1998, the Manhattan clan awoke to Elisa standing behind them at the door to the clock tower, nothing unusual. But she was carrying a message that night to Goliath from David Xanatos; a request for him to attend the birth of his second child, for fear that her Fae grandparents might show up again. Goliath, being how he is, agreed to go. The next evening, he, Hudson, curious to see the new baby, and Brooklyn, went to the old castle, though all but Goliath were stopped from entering the bedroom. Already there was Macbeth, working on a spell. Xanatos had found an old shielding spell, but for it to be finished, would need gargoyle blood. The blood was given, reluctantly and through a lot of asking on Fox's part. At exactly 7:24 pm on October 19th, 1998, Odette Titania Xanato was born. The mix of the shielding spell was put into a small silver heart locket, saudered shut, and put around her neck, along with the tracking device that was built into the locket. Being the daughter of Xanatos and Fox, she took after her father in looks some and became very athletic, being in gymnastics at 3. She was often babysat by the gargoyles, taking an interest in Lexington's machines. The thing that amazed her the most was that they could fly. She began asking for flying toys when she was 4, taking them apart by the time she was 6. Often times, she would be sitting in her dad's office, screwdriver in hand, taking apart the new helicopter toy she had recieved not two nights before. Dolls were nice, but what does it really matter when they're just representations of normal everyday people? Her father noticed her interest in how things worked and started teaching her how to build things; circut boards, blue prints, wiring, all that stuff. By the time she was 8, she had started to try to find a way fly, trying everything from propulsion to gliding. The gargolyes were often times asked to help her, by herself of course. They had to constantly catch her from her literal fall off the building. Her mother stepped in and took everything she had from her attemps to fly, in fear of her daughter getting hurt. She hacked into the security footage one night and set up a circuit of the same 5 seconds of recordings on several cameras and went to work in her father's workshop. She did this for about a week, working only at night when no one was watching her, and finally after taking apart one of the Steel Clan members for parts, she had designed herself antigrav boots. Owen walked in on her finally getting them together and giving them the test run. Her father was promptly told and she was allowed to keep them. Since then, they have been updated numerous times and she has even been able to make them more streamlined.

She still sleeps with a Bronx plushie she made when she was 13 in sewing lessons. She loves ice cream, raspberry flavor. She isnt a very good fighter but she can fight somewhat. She's daddy's little girl and loves haning out with her brother. She has been known to use her father's way of thinking, having used it many times, incuding against him. She is on the swim team at her and her brother's private school. She does eventually go to Avalon to meet her grandmother and stepgrandfather and bringing back permission from them for Puck to teach her. She is still learning, but right now her favorite magic trick is turning drinks into some other flavor, such as cola into a shirley temple or orange juice. She is also in the supernatural fanclub, chess club (the leading member of the club in speed chess), and is treasurer of the Sophmore class.
